This post is coming to you late but the observations were made in real time during the actual experiment.
If you read day 1, you know that it was incredible and felt like THE BEST DAY EVER.
Day 2-Observations
I woke up overheating at 5:30am. That’s right-an ENTIRE HOUR EARLIER.
I decided to roll with it as I’m fully committed to this experiment. From there, I made the bed (to make it less enticing should sleepiness catch up to me), splashed some cool water on my face (gosh that feels sooooooo very good and wakes me up bit!) and got dressed in my cozy workout clothes again.
Today, I did the workout I *thought* I was loading yesterday.
Conclusion? While it was nice to get the full five minutes in easily, the benefits of the more intense, longer workout far outweigh the mini workout. I felt lighter, brighter, and more empowered than I do today. I feel confident that it is because of the workout. I also felt more awake longer with the longer workout. Knowing all that, I will definitely be booting up a 20+ minute workout every morning.
I stretched today too, which was harder with the shorter workout but I needed it.
After all this I had breakfast but didn’t shower since the 5 minute workout didn’t cause that much of a sweat fest. I just got dressed and got on with my day.
Overall, day 2 went well and I think I’m liking this morning person stuff. I feel like I got SO much more accomplished!
If you’re doing the morning person experiment, what’s your experience been? What’s working for you?
